It has been quite some time since I felt up to writing. I found myself immersed in the current political drivel and I do believe it depressed me. How can this Country have so many people that allow Congress get away with such disdain for the people who voted for them? How do we not get a raise yet they vote one for themselves? They should be ashamed. Yet once again it is ALL politics and as long as they sit pretty they will cut and cut; while never working. It requires reading and support and working WITH the President to accomplish anything positive for this Country. Personally I support a federal sales tax; however it should replace our current income tax. Money in our pocket allows us to spend which puts more money in the Federal coffers. It also allows all people in this country to pay in equally. You buy you pay; even visitor's to our Country and all illegals. Such an easy way to pile up the trillions. Sometimes I think change is good. Actually all the time; since nothing ever stays the same. Take the best ideas and try them. Don't make it permanent; if it does not work; well the government certainly knows how to collect taxes and can go back to the old ways. Everything bought by everybody starting with the first cup of coffee for the day starts paying for all the programs we need to fund and all our debt. I am done trying to deal with politics until next year. I do no this; I will not be at this time voting for the same people I sent to Washington the last time; as they appear to be ineffective as to dealing with the problems. Selfish or
selfless that is the question. If my company was going under the last thing I would do is take a vacation or give out a raise; they did both. You decide their nature.
