I was just cleaning and took a break when an assortment of thoughts just ran through my head. Last night I was getting homesick for my Bar/Restaurant(The Sandbar) in Mexico while watching Anderson Cooper 360. They were discussing the debt ceiling and Congress and I thought well I have heard all those arguments already but where; and then it clicked; at my favorite watering hole! It is filled with expates who have tired of but never give up trying to change the way the young think politically; so there are always discussions; many with great ideas; that will never happen unless one of them goes back and throws their hat into the political arena. While we mainly discuss living on a pension or social security or for some fortunate few both; it always comes back to how unfair it is for the government we trusted with our money as we worked our asses off all those years; to try and say now we figured out a way to save; we will tax that money again or raise the cost of medicare or hey why not just make medicare cost what you get in social security benefits and it will save us the cost of sending you ANYTHING!!! We are brilliant! For some ungodly reason they don't realize that we know after two terms they are set for life. Also the longer they drag their feet up there the more money that gets hidden for "down the road" so to speak by some special interest group that is untraceable for now. I realize that occasionally an honest man comes along with the intent to do good; however he needs a lot of help and a lot of; crooked but you can't touch me now friends; to get anything done. However with all these people being killed and assassinated around the world we may get something moving; simply because the strings that bind may be cut. All I know is that I can place a bet that deep down in Mexico they are wagering on what will be the outcome because they already have it worked out!
